I moved from Scottsboro the spring of my sophomore year.  I moved to Jasper and finished high school at Walker County High a year early.  I graduated from Samford University in 1969 with a degree in Art Educatioin.  While at Samford I meet my future husband and we were married at Reid Chapel at Samford March 11, 1967.  We had 2 daughters, Amy and Beth, who were the most wonderful children at times.  They also graduated from Samford with much better grades than their parents.

I taught ART and ART HISTORY for 25 years at our local middle and high schools.  Now I am retired so that I can enjoy our 2 granddaughters, Gracie and Maddie Anne, who are the most wonderful grandchildren at times.

I have served on the local school borad for 4 years and I am still going.

I am the Treasurer on the city but don't be impressed, I only sign checks.

Most of all I have been married to a very special man for 43 years and we still enjoy being with each other for morning coffee on the morning porch, afternoon tea on the afternoon deck, boat rides, and even working on the tree farm.  We just like each other.

But really, the most important part of my life is that God has walked with me , watched over me, rescued me, forgave me,  loved me, and died for me.  I give all the credit for the good things in my life to God Almighty and Jesus His Son.  Thank goodness for parents who taught right from wrong and took me to church.  Many of our classmates were there with me and I am thankful for them and what they mean to me.  God bless you all.
